marrow donation registry
LifeShare Blood Centers is a partner of the National Marrow Donor Program, Be The Match®
Registration is easy! Just go to join.bethematch.org/lifeshare. Once registered, you will be sent a swab kit to complete and mail into Be The Match.
For some patients battling blood/bone cancers like leukemia or lymphoma, or blood disorders like sickle cell anemia, a stem cell or marrow transplant is their only option for treatment. Before a transplant can take place, a patient must have a matching donor. Patients have a greater chance finding a match from a sibling; however, 70% do not have a matching family member and rely on a stranger to be their CURE!
Registration only takes about 10 minutes and involves filling out a donor consent form and swabbing the four corners of the mouth with a cotton swab.
- Between the ages of 18-44*
- In good general health
- Willing to donate to ANYONE

If you are unable to join the registry, please consider helping by becoming a volunteer or by donating financially to support the continued mission of saving lives in our community.
*Doctors request donors in the 18-44 age group over 90% of the time, because transplants from this age range typically have better outcomes for the patient. If you are between the ages of 45-60, you are welcome register online, but will be required to make a $100 payment to cover the cost to join the registry.
